I have extensive experience devising and delivering quality art workshops for a variety of organisations and to a diverse range of people of different ages, abilities, backgrounds and cultures.
I have 11 years playworker experience with 5-11 yr olds, a BFA (Hons)in sculpture and I am also a practising artist.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about the arts and therefore the biggest thrill for me is to share my creative skills, to inspire and encourage others and incite their participation. I put value on experimentation and process as much as outcome and firmly believe that we all have creative talents that need to be garnered and released. I allow participants the freedom to explore their imaginations and to use a variety of skills, techniques and materials. It is a real delight for me to experience and gauge the look of accomplishment and satisfaction on the faces of my students.
I have good communication skills, am conscientious and listen to others points of views. I am also practical, organised and work professionally to coordinate and manage arts workshops, where necessary.
I have a CRB enhanced disclosure and Public Liability Insurance and can provide references on request.

Please bear in mind that this website is in need of a major update and does not cover any of the fabulous workshops that I have delivered since January 2007!!! To give you an idea of what I have done since then here is a list of clients that I have worked with:

This Bunting workshop took place with 5-11 year olds at Kingsgate
Community Centre over two after school club sessions. The children used one
pennant per letter to spell out their name or nickname and had a variety of
materials to decorate their pennants with, such as fabric paints, fabric crayons, scrap fabric & buttons. Once each pennant was designed the children then worked out the spacing between the pennants and pinned them to bias binding which I took home and sewed on the machine for them. The children could then take their bunting home and decide where to hang their festive decoration.
